"The living tradition we share draws from many sources." The Unitarian Universalist tradition highlights six sources for our wisdom and guidance in our spiritual path. Source # 4 highlights the Jewish and Christian teachings "which call us to respond to God's love by loving our neighbors as ourselves." Sometimes people ask why are the Jewish and Christian traditions named, separate from the the 3rd source: the wisdom of the worlds religions? It is a good question! Part of the answer has to do with our particular history. We will explore some of the Jewish and Christian roots that have given rise to this unusual, covenantal, pluralistic religion that we know as Unitarian Universalism. It is a different way to "do" religion! This will be a second service that emerged from last years gathering to study of the book, Our Chosen Faith.
